John Cofie
John is the CEO and founder of the Small Business Agency. His multi-disciplinary marketing communications experience spans more than 15 years and he brings a unique perspective to how SME’s can make the most of modern marketing and innovation to create a competitive advantage.
Having gained qualifications in journalism, law and marketing, combining creativity with diplomacy in business is what he does best.
He has advised businesses in the technology, hospitality, professional services, luxury and entertainment sectors on integrated communications, talent resourcing, budget allocation and agency reviews. When he isn’t hard at work with clients, he can often be found on a tennis court, writing, travelling or spending time with family.
Emma Thorn
Emma is an innovative and results driven product marketing professional with over 10 years’ experience of making a direct impact on organisational presence, profitability and performance across the public, private and not for profit sectors.
She is skilled at managing diverse product portfolios by delivering successful multichannel marketing campaigns. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she works diligently with business leaders.
Her most recent achievement was growing Google’s UK SMB revenue by 140% YOY (Year On Year) through their agency programme. Emma graduated from Hull university (BA Hons International Business) and London School of Marketing (Post Grad Marketing). Outside work she likes horse riding, running and helping charities build and implement their marketing strategies.
Alex Richie
Alex has over 15 years of experience supporting businesses. She runs two consultancy businesses specialising in entrepreneurship & campaign management, and programme development & strategic planning respectively.
Her book Starting a business in 7 Simple Steps, was published by ‘Harper Collins’, May 2014.
Over the years she has coached and advised startups, entrepreneurs, businesses and individuals, guiding them towards their business objectives. She has sat on various advisory boards and is currently trustee of MassChallenge UK, the largest and most diverse accelerator in London, helping high-impact, early-stage startups. Alex was named as an Inspirational Woman in 2013 by WeAreTheCity.
